Unity Doom Speedrunning

This one does not have the .lmp file, but hopefully it is okay to post it here. On the 2023.06.20 🇺🇸 @Thomastd established the new world record for the episode 1: Knee-Deep in the Dead through Unity Port, in the category Any% on the I'm Too Young To Die difficulty and with the KB+M input. The run is done in 4:38.67 RTA.

Awesome run! I liked the idea to prevent the door from closing on E1M6 :D Never watched a Unity Port speedrun though, this looked cool and very smooth.

I've split this post from the Demos forum and moved it to the Console Doom forum because, while it is a speedrun, it is not done in demo form. Unity unfortunately doesn't produce demos, so it is outside the demo forum's scope (though if they were ever to add the ability to create demos, posting them there would be fine). Did not know if there was a pre-existing thread regarding Unity speedrunning either, so elected to title this one in that way; if there's a pre-existing one I missed, then I'll get a general mod to merge it later.

speedrun.com has recently added a new feature: world records history of a particular game. To see Classic Doom's greatest speedrunning achievements on Unity Ports in a certain category, simply select it and click on the History button.

On the 2023.07.21, with the run verified on the 2023.08.08, 🇺🇸 Chival established the new world record for the episode 2: The Shores of Hell, in the category UV-Speed with the KB+M input. The run is done in 4:13.84 RTA, which is about a 4 second improvement over the previous record by Vawn.

On the 2023.07.28, with the run verified on the 2023.08.08, 🇺🇸 Chival established the new world record for the episode 2: The Shores of Hell, in the category Cheat% on the I'm Too Young To Die difficulty and with the KB+M input. The run is done in 2:59.05 RTA, which is about an 8 second improvement over the previous record by 🇺🇸 THiEF_HD.

On the 2023.08.04 🇺🇸 Chival established the new world record for the episode 1: Knee-Deep in the Dead, in the category UV-Speed with the KB+M input. The run is done in 6:10.77 RTA, which is about a 4 second improvement over the previous run by 🇷🇴 Vlazia.

On the 2023.08.09, with the run verified on the 2023.08.17, 🇺🇸 Chival beat his own world record for the episode 2: The Shores of Hell, in the category UV-Speed with the KB+M input, making it 4:08:05 RTA, which is about a 5 second improvement over the previous record. The record is already former now.
