Biff Fraggar's Libre Adventure. A free iwad project for doom

"Once a actor. Biff Fragger had a rather playboy lifestyle, hanging out with different girls everyday, partying like a maniac and appearing as a main character in many movies, and if there was some he liked more than movies, partying and babes was GUNS

He used to Carry a Beretta everywhere he went, but one snowy morning. Little did Fragger know what his dear City, new york was in ruins from a evil corporation attack. This is was just like his movie "to live is hard and to die is easy" as he see that the apartment corridor is full with suited bastards, he grabs his pistol and jumps down the garbage disposal vent, lock and load"

A iwad/Tc for doom 

 

Requirements: 

Compatibility: vannila compatible

Iwad: freed∞m phase 1 currently (the projects base iwad is freedoom phase 1 so it doom 1 it will be a blue-white checkered mess) 

 

 

 

Biff-Fragger's libre adventure is a open source iwad whos plot somewhat based on Duke nukem.

Only episode 1 maps are done and that is not all of them, however they are good to play and you will enjoy them, feel free to contribute

I take it you're deliberately going for this sort of unpolished, MSPaint-drawn look? Not sure if I'm really digging such style, but would be interesting to see where this is going.

Yes, me myself am not in favour of these graphics but these are placeholders which we are thinking to replace in the future, ofcourse we have to polish up the weapons more

BTW, I wonder if you're want to use the old Freed∞m big menu font (from versions 0.7 and below?) I think it would kind of fit the aesthetic of your game.

"We are not trying to create a "Freedoom 3." this is our own little fan-version of Freedoom that WILL NOT USE ANY FREEDOOM ASSETS AT ALL! Do not submit freedoom assets, as those belong to the Freedoom project." - SmekkyBoy.
That font does actually fit the game, so I will repost this message in our server in case if we will add this font or make something similar to it.

Nice suggestion, I feel like it will suit the iwad's atmosphere but we are trying to be unique here. The idea of reusing old content from freedoom is neat but we are trying a unique way of making weapons. And also I had said the exact same thing you said to @Smekky boy (the project leader) and he didn't allowed it. Which is kind of cool.

Just a little note that the image you posted shows the font from v0.8, which is a darker version of the same font from previous versions of FD. Here's what it looks in v0.7:

I really like this font, but I do understand why the FD team replaced it with the DENEX font in later releases.

Most FD assets will likely not fit the art style your project is aiming at anyway, so not recycling FD art makes sense, but certainly some unused assets could still be made use of at least as placeholders.

 

There are unused contributions that have a different look compared to FD, I guess you could at least take a look at those. Like this stuff here:
