Yes, I believe even before the dawn of a certain 2023 map, models of houses, cities, any buildings from life are great references to model from life if beginners don’t have any prompts or don’t know how to design an entire blueprint from scratch due to intimidation or unfamiliarity with the controls.

I’ve been curious if anyone has found any of the secret doors yet. There are about 7 of them, one in a place that’s a bit unexpected (and a bit of a mental cartwheel to build haha). I know this thread isn’t that active but I just wanted to throw that out there to give people something to do in the meantime while I keep cooking

So the requirements are spending 50 hours? How about 7 months? ☠️ This is my first wad and I intend to spend many months more on it (after one or two month hiatus so I can plan and make assets for my other projects). Hey, this is part of an experiential project where I rewrite scenes from different video games, and the second one is DOOM Eternal’s Marauder fight. The project’s purpose is to help me write better in the fiction context when I don’t have ideas to write a fully original scene, practice my own interpretations, and break free from my usual tradition of academic essay or news article writing. I chose a fight scene this time to get out of my comfort zone with something fast-paced. My style for elaboration: I tend to be very descriptive of scenes, logical of motives, prefer to apply philosophical aspects or big questions, and so this was an experiment to retain my style while challenging myself with a fight scene, which is by nature faster paced than my comfort zone. I also haven’t seen any other writing works in this forum in forever, so that’s something. Next I will write about a particular Alice-in-Wonderland cottage from Genshin Impact, so that won’t be appearing here (unless requested). Way to go from demonic fight to whimsical tea party!
