Ah the yearly tradition of photoshopping a santa hat onto your profile picture

So basically Half-Life 2's #BreakingTheBar event but with Doom
-
Afterdoom definitely, really cool and creepy depiction of hell that still kinda retains the feel of the original levels

TDBots is a mod that enhances bot ai and makes them viable for coop There's also Xim's helper marines if you want more "in-universe" coop bots

chłopaki nie płaczą, cool seeing a polish cult classic here

Chex Quest, if that counts :p If not, then it was Ultimate Doom on pc in 2018-ish?

The scariest: "Suspense" (Doom 1) The saddest: "Text screen music" (Doom 2) The happiest: "Laboratory (e1m3)" (Chex Quest) (didn't specify if it was supposed to be doom music :)) The most relaxing: "Tavern" (Strife) The most annoying: Don't have any :/ The weirdest: "Blood Jungle" (TNT) The most energizing: "I sawed the demons" (Doom 1) The coolest: "Facing the spider" (Doom 1) The catchiest: "Storage area (e1m2)" (Chex Quest) The most beautiful: "Waiting for Romero to play" (Doom 2) The most memorable: "The Dave D. Taylor Blues" (Doom 2) The most forgettable: "Getting too tense" (Doom 2)

Do you guys have any official/fan-made level tracks that just make you really nostalgic? For me it's "The Dave D. Taylor Blues" from Doom 2, the reason being that as a kid I remember playing a mod which didn't have any custom maps after Map07, so it must've been a really weird change of scenery for me. I think the weirdness of it has stuck with me and that's why something just clicks in my mind when I hear it. Unfortunately I don't remember the wad exactly, but Ghostbusters Doom 2 (which I used to play a lot) also had an unfnished Map08 with the track unchanged so it probably added to the nostalgic feeling.

If you don't mind, I'd happily join a modding group, especially for creating maps. Also I can and have created several custom assets (mostly skins) for doom. I would love to join a group of other "non-professional" modders/mappers.

TNT is just straight up boring, plutonia at least gives a challenge and has a cool "atmosphere"

dare worse than death

Sorry to quote that far back, but wasn't it sort-of confirmed that multiple versions of the doom slayer exist in the doom multiverse? Wasn't the explanation for skins that VEGA projects different versions of Doom Slayer's armor onto the one we control?

I consider it more of a standalone game rather than a doom mod :)
