    Lesser used map themes?

    I've decided to start a little WAD myself (no idea what source port, probably MBF21, and no idea how long) but I'm having some trouble figuring out neat themes past medieval and maybe a nice space battle map or two. Any lesser used maps themes that aren't overdone?

E1 >>>>> E4 >>>>>>>>>>>> E2 > E3 Episodes 2 and 3 are really boring (as I think the level design really fell off like in E3M2 good lord) so when I want to play Ultimate Doom, I just either boot up Episode 1 or 4. Episode 1 is just an all time classic, and Episode 4 and a nice challenging addition in my book.
  6. Finished MAP14. Map Name: Perfect Blue Music Used: MIDI Arrangement of Pink Floyd - Us and Them Tested it on Woof and GZDoom. Pretty sure I got the numbers right, as I counted manually. It's a short map anyways. I was gonna try to get a sky texture in, but even after hours and hours of trying anything I could look up it kept bugging out (even with merging texture packs) so I just left it untouched with the sky texture I wanted in the ZIP file. In the final version, AstroX, can you get the sky texture in? MAP14.zip

  10. Wasn't making any sky walls (at least for the moment) for this exact reason but it still bugged out anyway.
  11. I was sure I was putting the texture set in with the map file on both ports. I'm pretty sure I also didn't put any flats on walls. If it helps, here's the map file with the texture set (you'll need to warp to MAP14, and the level is still unfinished so no exit) test.zip
  12. Making a little map and I usually test in the Doom Builder with GZDoom on UV. I have to test it a bit on Woof as its Boom compatible which is required for the community project. Problem is, only Woof and PRBoom+ have this issue in the image where the screen is tearing where textures should be. (First image is Woof) (Second image is GZDoom) I am using a custom texture set by the way (32in24-15_tex_v2.wad) and I put in a custom sky. What could be the issue here? (ignore the crappy blue rocks behind the trees)
