MORE Wolfenstein 3D Graphics in Doom (and Vice-Versa)
Amaruψ replied to GermanPeter's topic in Doom General
I've always had quite the suspicious hunch about B.J's face on the Super Nintendo version of Wolfenstein 3D's splash screen. It looked remarkably similar to Doomguy's side glancing sprites. Now I'm not sure if the face was also used as a basis for that particular splash screen, but after watching your video I'm quite positive that it couldn't be just a coincidence. Great video as always, by the way! -
Are Doom graphics based on Projective geometry?

Carmack divided by 0 and the output was video games. -

Not quite a fan of hand-holding in video games, so I definitely wouldn't vibe with a feature that consistently reminds you that you probably should save your game. I'd sound quite a bit old by saying this, but honestly... if I want to shape your skills and let your own instincts develop, one really shouldn't have to be "reminded" to do it, they should just have practiced through a handful of maps just enough to have a mere instinct, a.k.a a gut feeling that you should probably save. But, some people do prefer hand-holding, so I'm not going to shun the idea completely.

If we're also talking about YouTube and other associated internet things, then I'd say that I like Stuart Ashen a lot. Earlier videos from Lazy Game Reviews used to have some sort of a dry humor that I quite enjoyed, and I still enjoy it to the fullest.

FRICK I somehow forgot Brian Blessed.

It's English comedy. Never complete without a jab or two at any random race. Blackadder constantly put Germans at the butt end of the jokes for example. Heck, even once a jab at my own people, but eh... I don't particularly mind :P

I've always adored quite a bit of the big names in the British comedy, both within the stand-up comedy and the sitcoms. Rowan Atkinson and Stephen Fry are a favorite, so is Hugh Laurie. Monty Python's Flying Circus is another particular favorite, and John Cleese and Terry Gilliam's solo work is nothing short of hilarious either. Rik Mayall is yet another favorite. I can't think of much when it comes to American scene however, but if I've had to pick, it'd definitely be George Carlin.

Be glad that you at least got this. The abstract baby blue layout that I got earlier was an eyesore. -
Every animation in HDOOM, I'll say.

I once used to be a die-hard Beatles fan. Anything else, no matter who was the artist was inferior to my ears. However, as soon as I started to mature, I realized that Beatles are more or less far too overrated and there's certainly better music, even during the time that they were together. So now, apart from a few tracks from George Harrison, I'm not a fan of the rest of their catalog once I've heard it beyond the ears of a fanboy. I'm afraid to even say that out loud anywhere where there might be any Beatles fans. Whenever I look over at them, I see a younger me which makes me cringe to death. Thanks for the almighty arch-vile to keep resurrecting me.

It's a sensible set, to be honest. 10 Tech-Base levels, 10 Earth levels, 10 Hell levels and two secret ones. Granted, they've utterly botched the perfectly set concept by including an irregular amount of all 3 instead.

Ah, I do understand. I've designed a special variant for you, no worries. https://files.gamebanana.com/bitpit/entrywayspecial.rar
