No, Sigil is John Romeros semi-official 5th episode which is directly after Thy Flesh Consumed as stated here:
-
Earth for sure. The sky texture is the same one seen in the inferno ending screen, which is on earth. E4M9 also confirms this being a UAC techbase. I just assume Episode 4 of Doom 1 is the outskirts of the city / starport you enter in Doom 2, and the whole thing is Doomguy making his way to the ruined city and avenging his pet rabbit along the way. (Then he makes it to the city and Doom 2 begins.)
-
With Sigil 2 coming out the only thing i can think about is how many times Doomguy is being prevented from going to earth for Doom 2 lol. If you consider SIGIL 1 canon alongside Thy Flesh Consumed, There have been like instances of the text screens of Inferno, Thy Flesh Consumed, and Sigil that are like "Up next is earth!" and then another episode drops preventing Doomguy from reaching earth lol. Poor guy can't catch a break and reach earth, he keeps being sent back to hell.

What if the beta, hitscan arachnotrons were the ones in the final game?
Tycitron replied to Antiquated's topic in Doom General
Speaking of this... has anybody tried re-creating the beta Arachnotron sprites? where it was literally just a scaled down Spider Mastermind with a chaingun? -
If you had been involved in the development of Doom and Doom II
Tycitron replied to Psychagogue's topic in Doom General
I agree, i really want Doom 2 intermission screens in the same photo-scanned looking art style that the original intermission maps used. -
THIS people forget that there are very interesting story concepts in the games manual story. This is why i wouldn't want it to be about the Doom Slayer stuff, i find the original games setting a lot more mysterious and interesting than the newer games setting and story. I feel like with the right writers it could be an amazing Action horror movie like Aliens.

Huh... okay, well thanks for all the help friend, i still have no idea why this has happened lol i just un-installed VMS (i've done so before with no issues and it just broke this time for some reason...) Ill try what you said and hope they can help <3

Alright, here you go: Yeah something is definitely up lol but i did those "fixes" listen on the site and it still messed up. Playing MIDI files directly still work and Chocolate doom still works as well just fine.
-
I tried both of those, and Crispy / Woof dont detect it at all. this is the error i get when opening crispy both with and without the coolsoft midi mapper: Honestly dont even know if its a Crispy Doom issue or a PC issue lol
-
Hmm seems to lead to a "page not found" error.
-
Sorry, just checked and yep only OPL3 and Fluidsynth are selectable options. I also noticed while trying to mess with Fluidsynth it doesnt detect a midi device for some reason... i dont know if thats related but thought i'd mention it.
-
Im not sure if this is a good or right place to ask this, but i uninstalled VirtualMidiSynth from my computer, and now Crispy Doom doesn't detect the normal windows midi playback anymore. I can still use fluidsynth / OPL, but i can't just use the default windows midi player now. It only shows up as "???" when looking for midi devices. (Every other source port works still, including Chocolate Doom, PRBoom+, GZDoom, etc. It's just a Crispy Doom thing. And re-installing doesnt work either, i tried.)

No this is very real, my dad works at Morisoft! He told me it was real and to also expect Sunlust 2
