Yeah sounds like an Intel HD laptop alright, you got a budget for a new laptop? Are you willing to build your own PC? As NIH said, a laptop will always be a worse value than a self-built desktop computer but a monitor and keyboard aren't included. A super quick glance at Amazon showed me this... https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Display-i5-8265U-GeForce-A515-54G-5928/dp/B07TJ21K7T/ref=sr_1_26?dchild=1&keywords=gaming+laptop+under+1000&qid=1588370740&sr=8-26 While it's not especially high end or an amazing value, it should run GZDoom and more complex wads with little trouble.

Yup that would be @NaturalTvventy's E2M6 from end1.wad OP is probably confusing the Metallica logo for the NIN secret in E4M1.

Just finished @Shaviro and Team Future's excellent Doom 3 Phobos mod and man I can't wait to see episode 2!

No End In Sight, with over 30 levels, is the latest to join our awesome line up of free Add-ons in DOOM." Congrats @NaturalTvventy, @Xaser, and @Lutz! Very cool to see Bethesda spotlighting the classic doom scene! If they keep doing this, I guess I really am gonna have to pick up a switch... -

Carrion Demo Out (Uber-gory 2D "The Thing" Simulator)
chowbar replied to Immorpher's topic in Everything Else
Tried out the demo last night and there’s some good stuff. Game looks gorgeous and it’s got a satisfying metroidvania-ish style of level progression. It’s also got some neat stealth/quiet moments too in between all the blood and guts. I would’ve liked an auto map because I got a little lost but I’ll chalk that up to my poor memory. Movement is fast and fluid too. Def recommend giving the demo a shot if you’re even a little interested. -
Sounds legit cause it sounds like Doom95 which was an official Windows Doom port ported by Gabe Newell and Alex St. John. https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Doom95

From Doom's wikipedia article... "At midnight on December 10, 1993, after working for 30 straight hours, the development team at id uploaded the first episode of the game to the internet, letting interested players distribute it for them. So many users were connected to the first network that they planned to upload the game to—the University of Wisconsin–Parkside FTP network—that even after the network administrator increased the number of connections while on the phone with Wilbur, id was unable to connect, forcing them to kick all other users off to allow id to upload the game. When the upload finished thirty minutes later, 10,000 people attempted to download the game at once, crashing the university's network" Also relevant...

Top 10 Infamous Wads 2 - 25 Years Of Doom Edition
chowbar replied to NicoTheMarine's topic in Everything Else
Wow this troll post has got almost everything huh? Sandy bashing, Romero bashing, IWAD bashing, Doomworld community project bashing, the only thing missing is source port bashing! -
Either instrumental metal or bubblegum indie pop, nothing in between hehe
-
Yo @Noiser, quick question, this texture change is intentional right?

Really dig the colored lighting and HUD, gives NRFTL a neat Doom 64 twist!
