How to remove the intermission screen after the end of a level.
Karnasis posted a question in Editing Questions
Making an survival horror modpack. I feel like the intermission screen doesn't match with the tone and aesthetic of the overall mod, and the maps that I am making are all connected similar to the level system of Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Is there a way to remove completely? Or atleast replace it with a type of loading screen of some sort? I wish there was an addon that did that automatically but life is not that easy. -
I am talking about games that were made with a engine that contains some trace of Id Software coding, I already know that Half Life was made with Goldsrc and that is a fork of the Quake engine. So, if that is the case, is there a list of official games that were not made by Id Software but were made with an engine based on the Quake 1 or 2 engines, or even games made in the Doom engine? Just curious on how it's holy influence spreads in the chaotic pit of gaming.

Is there a Source Port without the "No Platforms" Limitation?
Karnasis replied to SecularSteve's topic in Doom General
Dude, there is literally nothing offensive about this question, calm down. You're fine. -
Are there any widescreen assets for Ad Mortem? If there aren't, could it be made? Sorry, if this isn't a suggestion topic.

There is no fucking way this was a decision made by a human, I am now inclined to believing that Lizard Men run the world in secret and decided to do this to make us suffer, then believe that an actual human being, did this believing it was a good idea.

OH THAT IS SICK! Is that available for download, like a separate wad or patch? I would love to put this in my autoload!

Simple and boring, indeed! But it works. Yeah, I agree with this one. Dead Simple is a clear boss fight and would be great material for the final level of a episode.

Doom II, unlike it's predecessor, doesn't come in a episode format, but instead it's a long journey through 32 consecutive levels. But if, Doom II did come in episode format, how would the 32 maps split between 4 episodes? I imagine that some of the levels would have to be rearranged differently than how Doom II does, and maybe the episodes would have to be released in different times. Each of the episodes, in my theory, need to be a showcase of the new monsters and weapons and then the final episode being the final battle having all the new additions combined together. I also would like to know what would the names of these episodes would be, most of the names in Ultimate Doom are references from other media, like passages in the bible referencing demon symbolism, so the names of the episodes for Doom II would maybe be reference to other media like horror movies or something, since Doom II takes place in Earth, not Hell. Let me know what you guys think.

Nihal's Pallette Collection - [Update 6.2] CGA Palettes!
Karnasis replied to NihalRahman123's topic in Mods & Resources
It would be really cool to have a jungle palette for Plutonia or Urania, I really wish there was a visual representation to show how warm the place would be, especially with the hellspawn going around. -
Sorry, this is a post for fake gamers, go play Plutonia 2 or something.

I sometimes think I am a pro-gamer and try to Ironman some maps, only to be slapped in the face by the reality of my own skills. But, in other cases, I usually only save two times in a single level, right in the beginning, and save a second time during the middle of my playthrough of the level, depending on how much it's kicking my ass. I don't like save-scumming but I also don't like to die because I didn't see a chaingunner with the aiming of a marksman, hundred kilometers behind me, turning me into swiss cheese, and now have to try the level from the beginning, all over again. So because of all of that it's hard to find a middle ground, luckily there is a addon that solves my problem, the Autoautosave mod, which is fantastic! The only problem being that it only works on GZDoom, and I only use that sourceport for modded gameplay, if I wanted some vanilla gameplay, I have to rely on my ADHD brain to remember to save, and you guys know how reliable that is. TLDR: How many times do you guys find acceptable to save in a single level playthrough.

Is it ok to be a chicken? Or is it the same thing as a cock?

I usually organize maps by the format they were made in and kept in a separate folder... Limit-removing MBF21 GZDoom Vanilla ... This way I know what source-port to use for playing them, but I got curious as to how the rest of the community organize their megawads, single-levels and maps. So, how do you organize your map folder?

Yes! This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks scary ghost! 👍
