Grungo Posted Wednesday at 12:25 AM Hello everyone, You may remember post grungo made on "everything else" about a corridor 7 reboot/remake, well Grungo whipped up some concept art and new ideas... mostly visualizations of weapons and characters. FIRST, our protagonist, I wanna make him have a name and a voice like build engine character... I was going with "Mike Corridor" but that is too cheesy, what should his name be and what should his personality be? These are weapons I talked about in another thread, this is what they look like they are based on the original guns in the OG Corridor 7 but re-designed for example, the minigun is extended and looks actually like a mini gun the M24 now has a grenade launcher and the shotgun looks more, Ithaca-y Also the Plasma Launcher and Disintegrator are now man-made weapons rather than alien in lore but still used by aliens because they stole them. And now we have my new concept: NPC allies, Grungo got them inspired by Half Life Opposing Force's HECU marines Me also plan zombie mutant variants that attack the player created by the aliens but so far Me have these 4, the officer which is quick and uses a desert eagle the gunner which uses the m-343 minigun the sergeant which uses the shotgun and the medic which uses a standard m24 and can heal you there is also a trooper but it's identical to the player and also uses a m24 So... thoughts on this concept? I kinda want to remake Corridor 7 into something... smething more, like a AAA type campaign but good, it'd be like a opposing force but the marines actually win and don't hurt scientists... you also travel to the alien world and the enemies would have new abilities and designs and such 1 Share this post Link to post

What I would probably recommend to start from it's the concept documents that of the developers uploaded in the web, regarding sequel to the game, named Corridor 8: Galactic Wars, it has same interesting ideas, while unfinished prototype itself work on Doom engine. 0 Share this post Link to post

Grungo Posted Thursday at 12:17 AM Me am starting gonna draw art on enemies and NPCs more on the corridor 7 remake idea Me had energy to draw TWO drawings of enemies First is the rodex, a Low Tier Enemy that fires low damaging pulse shots. Me even made lore too! Me always wanted to write lore on WHY aliens are invading Corridor 7 me have a small idea but it is not fullu fleshed out, but the rough draft of it is that Solrac is a eldritch alien who enslaves aliens in order to capture worlds, like the Nillanth or Combine from Half Life. The Rodex is one of those species, and one of the weakess, as it is tiny and uses a low recoil weapon. But I also got ideas for rebelling aliens, aliens that ally you and the marines and turning on the other Solrac forces. Kinda like how the Vortigaunts and Rebels in HL2 work together. This is the Bandor, a another race of enslaved Alien, in the original game it was like the rodex, hunched back and a bit small but not too small as the rodex, so in my rendition, I decided to make the species close to human height. Anyways, they are armed with a better blaster and are able to shape shift into random objects kinda like prophunting. It is more intelligent than the rodex and is able to learn languages like english fast. I figure it'd make a deadly opponent and could act like the spy from tf2. Also I considered the idea of also the Bandors to rebel Solrac and work with humans too.
