Yes, That's what i'm saying, Doom's vanilla graphics need to be a specific resolution to work. and they need to be a specific format. (a doom graphic lump.) You can convert the graphics in Slade 3 by right-clicking your graphic, pressing graphic, and then then pressing "convert to", it automatically sets the format to convert to "Doom graphic (Paletted)", keep it that way unless your converting a flat (Doom flat lump). -

by the midi thing i didn't mean non-composers making music for their own map. what i meant by that is somebody can choose a midi slot to compose for and having it be an original creation from them. -

i might actually make an amiga chiptune for the title-screen if i can find an amiga music software (just seen talk about a megadrive version so i might as well do that if i actually make the music, though the megadrive version might be a little bit different like a remix) (though i might need to get use an emulator if there's no amiga music makers for windows.) (i made it, but it isn't really Chiptune like, all 3 versions of it are in this zip, the pre-conversion file is Grind through the pain (1).mp3, the original longer version has the same title but without the "(1)", i couldnt use the longer version because it was cutting off, i converted the current version with OpenMPT.) (i made a much better version that's more ominous, i think it would match the theme of grind. Keep in mind this version is for amiga only.) G_TITLE.zip (by the way i have a pain and death sound from the first version of freedoom from 2003, i think both of the sounds would fit very well with the style of the status bar face. They aren't made by me just to let you know.) Pain&Deth.zip -

anyone think this should have a nice, catchy soundtrack to bang your head to while blasting away your foes? (btw anybody think the status bar face has a quake-like style to it? it looks very fitting.) -
sorry but i think the actual doom 1993 logo was drawn out by hand.

Technically it does work with gifs as well but it doesn't animate them

step 1: get slade here: Slade's Download Page step 2: make your wad by clicking new archive and choosing doom wad archive, which is usually selected by default. step 3: add your midi(s). step 4: right-click your midi and click "Rename". step 5: change your midi's name to its corresponding lump. (For a list of music lump names and their corresponding maps, click the spoiler under this tutorial.) step 6: save your wad to a directory of your choice. step 7: all done, this tutorial does work with mp3's and other formats for music as well, but in turn your wad wont be vanilla if you choose those formats (Besides .MUS)

it wouldn't work in vanilla doom, but it would work for GZDoom. -

a slight problem with the maps is that freedoom has extra textures that aren't in doom 2, if you add the maps add the TEXTURE1 lump, PNAMES lump, and all the textures and flats than the maps will be fine. -
that's the SMALLFONT graphics, the SMALLFONT is a bunch of graphics named STCFN___ and is used for the small messages for when you get new weapons, when you pick up an item, the kill feeds in online servers, secrets, the messages that try to guilt trip you into playing more when your about to quit the game, and a lot more.

no it wouldn't, you just choose the sourceport you wanna play your wad in, it doesn't play both the sourceports. -

it is straight up impossible to add new actors in any Non-ZDoom related ports or ZDaemon unless you replace the normal enemies. -

For stats, DeHackEd as well. for behaviour i would say DeHackEd as well if your doing something simple like running speed and rate of fire, yeah
