As with Doomkid’s previous projects, Jamal Jones busts out the dehacked for a unique vanilla experience, allowing for some new monsters and some buffed lower-tier weapons. I too was looking for the same to add to our WNDM session. Running through some, I think E1M1 is the best. E1M5 and E1M7 could be fun ones if you can get the guns first. E1M8 isn't too bad either. E2M1 and E2M8 could work, although not many guns either. E2M9 is small and has some guns. E3M8 is a nice arena, but only RL and Plasma. Episode 4 has some levels that work better for DM too. I can't say I have played too much Doom 1 DM, but I have had a few matches online...but this was not back in the day, more like in the last few years lol. Doom 2 vanilla maps are better for deathmatch imo, but there are options in Doom 1. If you are looking for stock Doom 1 and Doom 2 level-feel but re-imagined for deathmatch, I would check out 32in24-8 and Classic Deathmatch Redux. Both take the stock maps and modify them to be more DM friendly. They are fairly fun and feel very familiar. Well, this probably wasn't too helpful, but anyways...have fun deathmatching!

In honor of Doom’s 30th birthday and the release of Sigil II, we felt it would be fun to play some Sigil 1 + Sigil 2 this week for WNDM! Come join in and experience the other side of Romero’s new wad, with deathmatch! With each episode consisting of 9 maps, we will have a total of 18 maps to run through. As with Sigil1, Sigil 2’s maps all contain a separate deathmatch arena outside of the normal single player map, however these maps do not seem to connect to the single player levels like with Sigil 1. With that being said, we will still enable monsters for people who want to bring them into the fight for E5 maps along with the monstermatch that is E6M9. I played this on TNS and thoroughly enjoyed it. We played kill 'em all and wowee it made some levels tough! Playing the wad reminded me that there is the DM portion as well. Arrowhead mentioned it to me a while back (I forgot about it) and I figured it could be fun to run through this wad for DM too! As such, I am planning to run this for Wednesday Night Deathmatch (WNDM) this week (11/29/2023 starting at 8PM CST). No pressure to be there, but if you want to show up, feel free!
