Solved a Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist. Old quest from Sierra about blonde guy from Wild West. From the Leisure Suit Larry creator, but I like it. Sometimes in this game we will create a medicines for our clients, because in this game we work in drugstore.

playing the Ori game with the cute owl friend. grabbed it cos I was enjoying Celeste again and wanted another game with a lot of movement options and demands, but it's totally different and I don't think I'm good at it lol. it has that Metroid like gradual unlocking of abilities and I have to remember what they all are every time I boot up

doomwise I was playing through Stickney Installation on the easiest setting to get used to the layouts

I'm playing "Chained Echoes", a retro pixel RPG that does a pretty decent job of recreating Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana 1/2, with a helping of Final Fantasy 6. It's good, I love the animation and the game seems really damn good so far, but whenever I look it up I keep seeing people saying "Yeah, wait til you get to the ending, it sucks".

So we'll see, I try not to pay attention to people's opinions when it comes to games, and so far I'm enjoying it. It's not as good as Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana or Final Fantasy 6, but it's enjoyable enough.

I guess I'll just post it's gameplay trailer if anyone is interested:

Looks awesome! Is it turn-based or real-time?

The combat is turn based, but it doesn't have random encounters. Some fights you can't avoid, but you don't get sucked into a fight every five steps. So it's more like Chrono Trigger in that respect.

I was recently surprised to learn that Chrono Trigger is not actually turn-based. Maybe it is because I was not wasting any time executing actions and spells, but apparently, the game uses some sort of real-time timer to decide when enemies act in general.

Either that, or it has been too long since I have played Chrono Trigger and I do not remember it well enough.

I just powered through Monkey Island 5, then 1, and am now playing The Dig. I was kinda thinking about checking out Freddy Pharkas soon, or possibly revisiting Space Quest.

I'm running files on a lot of games as per usual but I think notably, I started Terminator Resistance. I played through the Hospital quest earlier which was a phenomenal set piece with decent stealth mechanics, a 10/10 soundtrack and lots of the kind of tension the original movie had.

I'm going through Doom the Way id Did: Lost Episodes and am onto E2M3, and so far it's a quality set of maps. Using the Ultimidi alternative soundtrack which is good.

Quake 2: Call of the Machine. This exists because of everyone saying Quake 2 was too easy. It's an awesome collection of maps, I love it and it's absolutely brutal... but maybe still not quite as much as those Quake II 64 maps which were made by sadists.

I think over 2 months ago I started another playthrough of Hedon Bloodrite and also started the Ion Fury expansion and then stuff happens and I played a 100+ hours of Mass Effect and since then my gaming time has felt like a bit of a fever dream. Some good stuff though.

It might have been harder than the vanilla campaign, but I still found it lacking in the challenge department - except for a couple boss fights, including one where using an Invincibility power-up is more or less mandatory to make it through.

In the original Quake 2, Makron can be defeated by enabling Invulnerability and Quad Damage at the same time, then using the BFG10k on both of his forms.

He goes down in less than 10 seconds.  It's hilariously cheesy.

Been playing the original Resident Evil 4 lately. I came across what appears to be a secret room, each section has a set of strange and cryptic messages written in Spanish.

I'll provide translations for them in Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/N2o777i

I just finished Terminator Resistance, honestly played like half the whole game just today.

Great game, gets epic as hell at the end, Teyon nailed the assignment and made a solid 8/10 licensed game.

I think particularly what they got right is that gradual shift from the game being about sneaking and guerilla warfare against enemies that are extremely difficult and resource intensive to kill to just as the story reaches its apex it becomes a triumphant Terminator blasting sim. Not sure if I'll go to Robocop next (might go with Shadow of the Tomb Raider) but, give these guys Aliens vs Predator please, they'll do something awesome.

Played the first level of Slave Zero X: Episode Enyo today. It is... okay? I mean, it is a total conversion of Quake that plays almost exactly like Quake.

What kind of annoys me is that it gives the player zero context, not even a single opening cutscene, voice-over or text. Since I have never played Slave Zero, I have no idea who I am playing as nor who are the people I am fighting.

Playing Half Life 2, fucking amazing game. The graphics hold up real well for a game from 2004, and it all somehow runs on my cheap laptop.

I'm also playing Quake 2, because why not. It's good fun :)

I was doing a very slow revisit of Morrowind through OpenMW, trying a playthrough where I don’t specialize in heavy armor for once, but that new Quake Enyo episode came out of nowhere; so far, very nice aesthetics and a fun weaponset. Damn, I’ve been eating good on Quake stuff the last year or so…

Been playing Dark Souls on the Switch. It's fun; definitely gotten a lot further than I thought I would at this point, though to be fair without my brother's guidance I would be completely lost ;p

Made it to Orenstein and Smough.

Yeah, it feels like a mix between Doom and Quake's arsenal: the Revolver and the Dual SMGs share the same ammo, the energy weapon (I cannot remember its name) is essentially Doom's Plasma Rifle and the Shotgun seems more powerful than Quake's starting shotgun, but I think it uses only shell per shot. I have been picking up explosive ammo here and there, but the weapon for it does not appear to be available on Level 1.

I'm in the middle of my second Cyberpunk 2077 run. Really like Phantom Liberty DLC, and this game does feel much more special the second run through - thanks to the many updates, I'm sure.

I've tried to get into Morrowind, but I just can't for some reason. I dunno if it's the combat or the visuals or what, but I just can't stick with it. OpenMW is great though, really cool project.

I always have a modded Morrowind save on the go, it's such a great game to just wander in and chill out with.

Found out I have been sleeping on Empire Total War, gunpowder Total War games are something incredible, nothing beats the feeling of a well structured line flanking and converging on the enemy.

Already conquered half of America as my homeland (United Kingdom) and I must say I have found a new love for strapping red coats...

Been resuming Deep Rock Galactic lately, since the other game I usually play, PAYDAY 2, is crashing a lot on me. Although I'm afraid I might get another case of burnout if I continue to play it.

Once again, Path of Exile.  God I hate this game so much but it is so fun to make number bigger to kill faster to buy stuff faster to kill stuff faster to buy stuff faster... Not sure if my TS Deadeye is ready for ubers... Trying to motivate myself to collect shaper and elder fragments enough to be able to try uber elder first as he's the easiest, but its kind of fun just running Exarch altars and collecting a billion friggin' chaos orbs and chisels.
