Am I the only guy who likes Freedoom?

Probably the powersource died, so i will be on phone only mode for a few days.

Damn, hope is just that and the hd its ok as there was a lot if things in there that i never shared anywhere.

Love Freedoom! Phase 2 is champion of a campaign even versus some of the best wads.

I think I prefer the average JPCP or Scythe 2 level over the average Freedoom Phase 2 level (just limiting myself to other limit-removing megawads) but Freedoom's still one of the best.

Judging by the texture alignment on the walls, I'm guessing it's this lift:

It's probably an issue with Freedoomguy's source port or graphics drivers, note that the HUD portrait isn't supposed to have a cyan background like that.

The fact that you're posting in the sub-forum for freedoom is probably a good indication that you're not the only one who likes freedoom.

This is cringey fanboy behavior, but no: I recently, for some odd reason, got back into sFreedoom.....and I am LOVING IT! 

 

Using an older version of ZDL.....but it's still good with me!

I like it for what it does, it allows those without the registered game to play custom wads from the community.

As for the levels themselves they are pretty good ^^ I did admittedly get lost on some here and there.

Freedoom is amazing, freedoom version 0.12 is probably one of the best iwads ever made, like it's textures and levels, music and even the level names are one of the best. 

 

But everything that has its pros has its fairshare of cons, and freedoom is no exception, sure it's the best and my favourite iwad but the weapons look, feel and sound weak, only some of them like the shotgun, pistol feels weak 

 

But I'm happy that they replaced the old pump action shotgun to this Duke nukem styled pump action with a handle 

 

And i somehow think the old freedoom pistol was good, ignore the fact it looks like a m1911 and I like it, a lots mods use the freedoom old pistol in someway to make their pistols, some mods where you can clearly see the familiar parts of the freedoom pistol and some where only 1 or 2 parts of the pistol were used 

 

And the enemies, ok so In my opinion, only the chaingunner is the best looking enemy in the former human enemies

 

The shotgunner sprite doesn't look like it's supposed to be like that (including the old shotgunner sprite which I'm not gonna count because the modern shotgunner is a recoloured version) and the zombie man

 

I like the zombieman sprite more because it actually shows him firing a pistol instead of a rifle thingy in doom 

 

And I also love how the zombieman and shotgunner sprites actually show some kind of zombification like the zombieman helmet being the only gear he has and he is not wearing a shirt and how the shotgunners sprite shows his head cracked

 

I love freedoom and the people who contributed to a free iwad project but I think in someway the project can be improved

I really like it a lot. I have been playing it more than the id Dooms so far...
That said, it's also kind of long...which I suppose is good and all that, but also a bit daunting.
