DooMAD Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) Version 3. The original two are still online if anyone wanted to salvage anything I've subsequently cut from the most recent one. Completely replaced one of the floor textures because I didn't like how it tiled. Fixed a few other tiling issues with the wood textures. Added more stuff generally. I'm hoping the next version might actually end up in a wad format. Poorly formatted preview: Spoiler //EDIT: Version 4 now. Still no *.wad file as I keep finding new shit to add. DooMAD Posted June 22, 2018 Big update in Version 5: Palette versions for Blasphemer, Heretic, Hexen *AND* Doom (even if some of them don't quite fit thematically in a standard map, but they might be useful for someone) Partial *.wad support (haven't done any transparent background textures like fences yet and it's just Blasphemer and Doom so far) Even more new textures Still some tweaks to come, as some of the textures might be a little too bright for their respective palettes. ETTiNGRiNDER Posted June 22, 2018 @DooMAD are those all scratch work, or are they based on pre-existing stuff? 0 Share this post Link to post

ETTiNGRiNDER Posted June 23, 2018 (edited) I hope to get all this stuff properly WAD-ified very soon, but on the off chance I don't, or people want a sheet version to mess around with for edits, or just as a preview of some of what'll be in the upcoming WAD, here's a grand unified sheet of all my from-scratch Heretic / Hexen texture sheets. Some of these may have appeared in previous WADs/resource dumps I've put out but these should be considered the most recent versions as some of them have had things like bad tiling and whatnot tweaked for improvement. What we've got here: - The Tyrant's Tomb set, in both red and green versions that can serve as a Heretic / Hexen suitable stand-in for Doom's marble brick textures. - The Runic Bricks set, pretty standard bricks & mortar plus motifs of the glyphs that appear in Hexen. - The Underground Temple set, for your dank jungle cave occult sites, with clean or slimy versions of several of the variants. - Grotesque mouth archways for your ominous castle / temple entryways. In general, the 64x64 pieces are flats and everything else are wall textures, with the exceptions of the isolated Tyrant's Tomb trident squares, which are meant to be wall patches to go over the blank square in one of the wall variants (the assembled version appears to their right) and the two that have a top trim in the Underground Temple set which are meant to be like a Hexen step texture. (Removed sheet because the forum messed with it. See a few posts down for a link.) Edited June 24, 2018 by ETTiNGRiNDER : Removing the sheet that the forum trashed on, see newer post for a link 5 Share this post Link to post
Mad Butcher Posted June 24, 2018 1 hour ago, ETTiNGRiNDER said: eg_alltex_sheet.png Is the full size of this sheet actually 998x1200? It looks like it was downscaled (all the textures have blurry edges). 0 Share this post Link to post
ETTiNGRiNDER Posted June 24, 2018 @Mad Butcher No, it should be 1008 x 1212. Apparently the forum messes with the image size even when clicking for "full size". I'll post it elsewhere by tomorrow. 0 Share this post Link to post
Halfblind Posted June 24, 2018 (edited) @ETTiNGRiNDER Do you have the isolated graphics for all the faces? I grow tired of seeing nice texture packs with cool face things but fail to include them as an isolated graphic. I also grow tired of not seeing the background texture not isolated either but I see that you have that covered already. I might not use the faces myself but I feel that others would use them a bunch if they could place them on their favorite backdrops. Great work you never cease to amaze me. 1 Share this post Link to post

That second one looks weird with thin slivers of bricks coming out from behind the lighter bricks on the edges. Also, what is the difference between the first pair and the second pair on the bottom row? 0 Share this post Link to post

Also, what is the difference between the first pair and the second pair on the bottom row? That's how MONK03 looked, only yellow. The color of the bricks here does tend to make that a bit more visible though. 0 Share this post Link to post
Empyre Posted July 16, 2018 That shows how unfamiliar I am with Heretic and Hexen. I played only the shareware versions of each, and that was back in the 90s. I bought both of them on Steam a couple years back, but I haven't gotten around to them yet. 0 Share this post Link to post

ENEMY!!! Posted July 23, 2018 (edited) And some more: Spoiler Three of the tomb images (the ones which are plain bricks) are edits of an edit by ETTiNGRiNDER and the rest are edits of Hexen stock. 3 Share this post Link to post
DooMAD Posted July 24, 2018 (edited) While this is technically version 6, I thought I'd give it a proper name: Stalungcraeft (translation: Stolen art) Now contains just over 1000 textures for each of the four palettes (at least twice as many as version 5 had). All the transparency stuff should be sorted now. All that's missing is *.wad format because I'm currently too lazy to rename all the earlier textures in the pack that go over the 8 character limit. 3 Share this post Link to post

Fuzzball Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) Felt like contributing just a little bit for the hell of it! Did a lil bit of converting to some old grimy bricks to Heretic palette and they look nice~ Bonus- Quake flat in Heretic palette too! 11 Share this post Link to post

Not Jabba Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) You know those textures from Hexen with the metal rings/chains coming out of the wall? If you've ever wanted to use one of those as a secret switch -- i.e., you pull the ring out of the wall to activate something -- I've created some "on switch" variants of the texture. And a bunch of variants of the BakLeg banded stone/rune textures. Baker's Legacy has vertical versions of these, but not horizontal ones. These are a bit more complicated than just rotations, since rotating the originals screws up the runes, so they actually took a decent bit of editing. Save yourself the trouble and use mine! Here are the edits that some of the above are based on, including a non-moldy gray version that matches the red/gray and blue/gray bands.
